poems by Donald James Dolby
Two In The Bush
Open road
Nothing seen
Endless prairie
Need gasoline

Filling station
Fills the sky
Can't fill up
Pumps are dry

Where is the gas?
What has Bush done?
War is over
But oil has gone

What is war for
If not for oil?
Millions dead
World in recoil

Black gold war
Was duly fought
Prize though
In vain was sought

Like the weapons
Never there
Empty hands
For Bush and Blair

Never used
Tattered and torn
Lies forlorn
